Birth Doula Services
Once you select me as your Birth Doula we will start our journey together. We will meet at least once prenatally and also stay connected throughout your pregnancy. I will help inform you about the birth process, share resources, support you emotionally, encourage self-advocacy, and help you prepare your body and mind. We will use this time during pregnancy to build a relationship and get to know one another. During labor and birth, I will be a constant and familiar support, whether you are at home, at a birth center, or at a hospital. I will help you follow your birth plan, guide your partner on how best to support you, suggest positions, encourage movement to help labor progress, guide you through comfort and breathing techniques, use touch and affirmations, and encourage connection between you and your partner. Immediately after the birth of your baby, I can also assist you with breastfeeding and the care of your newborn. We will meet at least once postpartum when I can also assist with newborn care and newborn feeding, or we can reflect on your birth experience together.
